The chances are that you’ll only mess up the system instead. If you’re unfamiliar with HTML or PHP then I would say Joomla is a good option for you. It has everything you need for creating an accessible website, no doubt about it. WordPress on the other hand is perfect if you want to start a blog but maybe not the best when it comes to building a website. I also think that the more complex the site, the more confusing to Google to rank the page. I like to keep things simple, but attractive enough to keep the reader interested.
