You can download a free scan but the free scan will only find the errors - you will have to buy the program to have the errors fixed. After reading and trying to learn what I did wrong, I found information on registry cleaners. I first used a free one and it found errors in my registry and removed them without problems. Now, I use a more advanced version I bought and it works really well with my Windows Vista machine. I would not be without my registry cleaner today.
