After a lot of searching on the net for a solution as acer/microsoft and ATI dont have a clue, i ended up uninstalling all the ATI drivers and CCC in the add/remove programs of control panel and installed an alternative driver combination from omega. link is http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati.php Just follow the directions and install, since then I have had no problems whatsoever. Best solution probably is not to buy a laptop with an ATI video card. I have the latest drivers from ATI so I bet installing the OMEGA drivers right off the bat might help things. Maybe the problem is in one of the files that were changed for the OMEGA versions that is still in ATI's, carried on from older versions?
