The big problem is duplicate URLs and double pinging, that could get you banned. They other problem with these big ping lists, is that pingomatic pings quite a few services, so one has to be careful. I have a new plugin that checks the ping list and reports the number of times it finds a duplicate. I felt that it was needed to prevent double pinging.
